With the weather finally warming up, students have begun to prepare the greenhouse for crops! Tables were built for the plants to sit on and air vents were put in place in order to regulate the temperature in the greenhouse. With students excited to begin working, we had to gather more information and where better to gather information about a greenhouse than at a greenhouse?

The horticulture class would like to send a huge thank you to the Owlseye Greenhouse for graciously welcoming our class for a tour of their facilities! Students had a blast and learned a lot in regards to what it will take to start up our greenhouse.

With the greenhouse in full swing, students are excited to announce that we will be holding a fundraiser on May 11 & 12! The greenhouse will be open for all to attend between the hours of 5:30pm - 7:30pm on May 11 and 8:30am - 10:00am on Friday. Students have made flower baskets that will be put up for silent auction and planted starter seeds and herb baskets that will all be sold that evening. We encourage everyone to attend as this fundraiser will set the foundation for our class's future endeavors. We hope to see you there!
