Introducing: Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre
Starting in the fall of 2018, any students that want to homeschool through St. Paul Education Regional Division can do so through the Myrnam Outreach and Homeschool Centre, or MOHC. This new school will be run out of the Village of Myrnam's CTEC (Construction and Technology Education Centre) building, located next to New Myrnam School. Construction continues on the CTEC building and is expected to be completed in July.
Families choosing homeschooling will have access to many added benefits if they choose to homeschool through SPERD, including:
Family values, beliefs and culture are preserved and encouraged through family in-home teaching.
Parents can use real-life experiences to teach life skills.
Families have the freedom to design a unique program tailored to the individual needs and development of their child(ren).
Parents monitor and evaluate their child’s progress.
Families can choose traditional homeschooling but because of our location we can also provide additional local supports such as:
Access to highly qualified teachers for support when needed.
Access to after school clubs and activities, including:
sports teams
clubs (drama, art, etc)
Access to a wide variety of option courses to enhance educational programming through New Myrnam School or the Village of Myrnam’s CTEC facility, including:
