Parent Survey Regarding Learning Options for 2020-21

We are preparing to welcome our students and staff back into classrooms this September, after the Government of Alberta announced that in-school classes will resume. Health and safety are always our top priority, and student learning must continue. With that in mind we are pleased to offer two options for our families:
1. In-School Learning (Full Return to School)
Students return to school under near-normal conditions with health and safety measures in place. See our Re-Entry Plan Scenario 1.
2. Remote/At-Home Learning
Students remain registered with their home school but continue learning at home under the direction of a Division teacher.
Students are registered with St. Paul Education
Students receive all instruction from a certificated teacher in St. Paul School Division, following Alberta Programs of Study
Instruction may be delivered via virtual means, paper-and-pencil, or a combination of both
Students and parents are in regular contact with their teacher
Students receive a school report card
Parents receive all regular school communications (e.g. newsletters)
Students may choose to re-enter the classroom at any point throughout the school year
Requires a level of support from a parent, guardian or caregiver to ensure success
Specific time commitments for real time learning and independent work will be set by the assigned teacher, while considering the age of the students, and may be adjusted to meet the needs of the family
We are asking all parents to complete a survey regarding their choice of learning option for 2020-21. The responses to the questions will help us determine the best way to allocate staff and resources to support remote/at-home learning for K to Grade 12 students. In order to have everything ready for school start-up we would appreciate that parents complete the survey as quickly as possible. The survey link has been sent to parents via email and as an Alertus app notification. You can also click HERE to complete the survey.
