Update #4: Week of January 4-8, 2021 - Learning at Home

December 16, 2020
After the winter break, all Kindergarten to Grade 12 students across Alberta will be learning at home for the week of January 4-8, 2021. Current direction from Alberta Education is that students will return to in-person learning on January 11, 2021.
In order to minimize COVID-19 transmission in our communities and allow for a more extensive deep-clean at each school, we are offering an option for staff to work from home during January 4-8, 2021. If Alberta Education should decide to extend at-home learning beyond January 8, 2021, all our staff will still be required to report to work on site on January 11, 2021. We believe this will maximize operational effectiveness and be in the best interest of our students.
Grade 7-12 students will continue with at-home online learning as they have been doing.
The following guidelines are in place for K-6 students.

Learning packages are in the process of being sent home this week.
Each school will provide details about their learning schedule and information on how to connect with teachers as needed.
Technology is not required to complete work in the learning package.
We want our students to be engaged in their learning during this week and we will work with you to provide the necessary flexibility to avoid stress (both academically and emotionally) to you and your child(ren). If you have any questions or concerns please contact your school administration.
Please be aware that while some staff will be working from home, our school buildings will remain open and you can contact the school for any questions or concerns.
